I have been working on my Duster for years. Long story... I bought it from a guy that beat the snot out and left it for dead. I rebuilt the front and rear suspension, I swapped in a 440/727 and have just recently started doing the body work.

I finally got the car up to the point to where I could safely drive it. So... off for a safety inspection. I strapped my camera to the back seat and took off.

Let me know what you guys think, the body is still rough but I am hoping to tackle that this winter.

Nice video looks like you had a spotter in that Dodge Ram. Good to see you got it on the road.

Yeah, that was my Brother, he was there for me with tools and a tow in his V-10 :notworth: in case anything came up between here and there.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Did I miss something?? you did pass right?? and what did they check exactly??? I assume that your duster did not have a title or something?? It sounds BAD *** I kept wait'n for you to hit it and pull the front wheels!!! nice vid too. I know what its like to work and work on your car, I've had mine since 1980 many different versions over the years.

I have the title, I wouldn't have touched it with out one. Oh yeah, it passed, Everyone there at the inspection station really liked it.

The guy that had the car before me said, "the motor was locked up". I opened the hood and found a beaten 318. I was able to turn the engine over by turning the fan belt. So I figured alright, this guy doesn't know what he is talking about.

I bought it and brought it home. I pulled the pan off and found a broken rod and evidence that the engine had been run sometime after the rod had let go.

So easy enough right? Well... one thing led to another. This poor car, any other point in time it would have gone to the junkyard.

So... I lovingly rebuilt the front suspension, did a few upgrades and mods, gave the engine compartment some much needed tlc.

I did the same to a 440/727.

Here it is the day we broke it in, careful... we are running open headers.

Gave it some exhaust...

The rest has been little things, wiring, lights, and body work. Mechanically the car has pretty much been completely rebuilt. All I really have left is the body and interior.
