Ok so nothing special you had to do with your carb? Do you happen to have any more pictures? Also thanks for the info as I might pickup something that currently has a slant 6 so the supercharger seems very interesting.

I have my engine out now and am about to put it back in this weekend. I will take more pictures once I have it back together. Torqstorm changed from manual belt tensioner to automatic and have that now. My engine is bored .045 over. I have Molnar racing rods for a 191 instead of a 225. Steel shin head gasket from gasket city out of Canada.
 
What would really be cool and blow a lot of minds at the next cruise is to pull in among the other cars with my Slant6 ‘70 Challenger. Lift the hood and, Surprise Surprise Surprise, a 6cylinder with a TorqeStorm set up. Whew!

Very nice package..complete and high quality.
The only real issue, is that when you install one on an early A, there is zero room between the engine and radiator for any sort of cooling fan.
Depending on the car, you've either got to relocate the radiator forward, or figure a way to mount the fan between the radiator and grill.
67-up cars, it should fit like a glove.

I have one of Torqstorm's slant 6 superchargers coming for my 63 valiant. Chris the salesman did not sound optimistic about me using my carter 500cfm carb. Did you have any tuning problems with yours? Mine is mildly modified /6 4 speed 2.94gears. I hope I don't have to go for the $1600 carb he recommends. But I will if I have to. James
 
If you are doing that you may as well go with the Holley sniper 2bbl. It can control timing. That is the direction I am heading. My Edelbrock 4bbl 500cfm works but is not optimal. I am looking into having a carb shop mod it to be blow through.

Can you know of a carb shop to modify a Edelbrock for this supercharger

GREAT, just got off the phone with Chris at Torqstorm. He said he was going to try to get some like minded people to find out just what needs to be done to a Carter or Edelbrock carb to work correctly for this application.
 
The only problem with running an Edelbrock/Carter carb on a blow through application is the accelerator pump.
Not the pump itself, but the way it's configured. Under boost with the bowls pressurized, the pump shaft would become a leaking point.
In the old days when they were used with Paxton Superchargers, the carb was sealed in a pressurized box, and that works perfectly, but not an option with the Torquestorm kit.
The simplest, fool proof way to go is with a Holley 500 CFM 2 Barrel. If I was doing one of these for myself, that is the ONLY carb I would even consider.
 
One other thing...and you may as well start scratching your head now.
In an early A, the engine sits 2 inches closer to the core support than on 67-up cars.
The Torquestorm kit leaves zero and I mean ZERO room for any kind of fan in that space in front of the engine.
If you locate the radiator forward, say goodbye to your hood latch. You're going to have to fit some sort of electric fan between the radiator and grill. On the Valiant, this rates a solid 8.5 on the 10 point difficulty scale. Be prepared!
 
Holley won’t work either because the idle mixture can’t be dialed in to prevent running rich on the low end.
 
I am using an edel Brock right now. It is driveable but not perfect.
 
I used a Holley first but it leaked out the back under boost. Holley makes a blow through carb. I believe they are demons. A slant six is not what it’s made for though.
