Can anybody help lead me in the right direction to find out what converter this is? Has 764 written in marker and looks like 28281 stamped. Thought it may be aftermarket since it’s painted blue.

764 is the smaller factory hi stall converter. Although later years were low stall with a sticker saying low stall on them. Then u could get them in a lock up low stall with a sticker. Can’t help u with the 28281. Possibly a converter rebuilders number. Depending how old it is it could be from any town/state. Kim
