Bonsoir,

Sur la boite de vitesse manuelle 3 rapports de la Valiant , a froid je trouve que la 2ème accroche au passage et au rétrogradage (levier de vitesse au volant).

Est-ce que ça pourrait venir du froid exterieur -2° ou de la mauvaise huile dans la boite ?

Quelle huile faut-il mettre dans la boite ?

It's not a transaxle (you find transaxles under front wheel drive cars, think Honda civic or Mini Cooper for example). It's a transmission and it uses 80-90 (same stuff you use in your rear end.

Also he was typing in French (I have no idea what it says, I don't speak French).

According to the 1972 Owners Manual, Chrysler recommended Dexron for the manual transmissions for cold climates. In warmer climates, they suggest SAE 90 for the 3 speed and SAE 140 for the 4 speed.

The distinction between transaxle and transmission made earlier is correct. In France, think Peugeot 404/504/604, each used a transmission, Renault 4/5 (LeCar in US), 9/11/21 (AMC Encore, AMC Acclaim, Eagle Medallion) used a transaxle.
