Transmission Confusion

Hey, what's up everybody. I have '74 Dodge Dart Swinger with a 318 "Fast-burn" from around 1985? or so. Anyway, the transmission is the thing that's giving me the most trouble. I simply don't know what it is. I have the casting numbers from the driver side of the transmission, just above the fluid pan. The #'s read: PK4431556 9160 3978. If anyone can decode it, that would be awesome.

What shape pan. Here are 2 shapes the top is 727, the bottom is a 904.

looks just like the 904, but the thing is I don't know if it's original. :scratch:

That late, it could be an A904, A998, A999 or an A500.

StrokerScamp, I was thinking the same thing. When I first got the car I thought is was all originial, but later I find out the motor is from around '85 with swirl heads and a roller camshaft. As for the transmission, I have yet to truly find out what--year--it truly is. The casting #'s seem a bit newer.
