Transmission swap question.

I have a 1969 coronet with a 383 and new 727 transmission. I have decided to sell it but am considering swapping out my 904 for the new 727in my 71 Dart before I do.

Could anyone advise me on the invovement in this? Do they just swap over or would I have to modify anything to make it work?

small block tranny doesnt fit bigblock and vice versa

What engine in the Dart do you have? There is a small and big block version of the transmissions. Sounds like you have a 904 in the Dart now? But you would need a 727 LA trans and if you do fully auto shift the linkage for the shifter and kickdown with head bracket and bellcrank.

I currently have a small block 360 in the dart. Thanks for the replys. I was unsure if the 727's where the same for both big block and small block. But I will just sell the Coronet as is. And leave the 904 in the dart.
