I’ve had both manifolds with carbs and regret ever selling them. Both were from Australia so I was wondering if either could be found on eBay/au. I didn’t come across any triple Weber manifolds but did find a brand new Redline triple SU manifold for HIF6 carbs from ProCsrb. It being Christmas time I decided to order my Christmas present to myself. And it arrived today. I’ve got the SU HIF6 carbs with 1.75 inch throats lined up. Might just revisit using a slant in my 47! Nice! I'd rather have SUs than the webers. I've seen the intakes used on ebay but shipping from AU and not much cheaper than the redline.

I would use Webers. Using the Webers keeps it as a true IR [ individual runner ] intake which gives better throttle response & better idle. You can also run a bigger cam with IR set ups, if you wanted too.

Redline in Hollywood, Calif, has the Webers, probably a set jetted correctly.

Yes, I wonder what the cam specs are.

A dialed in weber is better, but I love the simplicity of a cv carb. Since Webers and SUs are pricey, I've considered two or three used Harley CV carbs (Keihin 40). The rubbers (instead of SU pistons) are expensive if they need replacing but otherwise very cheap and tuneable. If I didn't need a low hood line, I'd use downdrafts.

I've never had a problem with the SU. I had a Triumph when I was a kid and got familiar with them the and I've tuned on and built many since. I kinda like um.

Sweeet! Over the years I had three different triple-SU Slant-6 intakes and at least one twin-SU intake. Brands were…let's see here. Lynx, Cain, and…h'mm. Might've been a Speco in the collection? I forget.

If you don't already, you'll want to know about Burlen.

Yes Sir, I’ve looked over the Burlen website several times. Told the wife I’m not going to get rid of this manifold no matter huw much someones cries about wanting it
