I had an S10 once that would all but die when warm let it idle for a bit and it would go again for a period of time. Cats were clogged, just another thing to look at.

Pump won't throw a code, Cat will throw O2 sensor code.

I had a 94 Dakota and it would have acceleration issues when the tank got below 1/4, dump 5 gals of gas in it and it would run fine. Changed the fuel pump, problem gone.
