Gday everyone,
It's been many years since I was on this site, but I have already noticed some familiar names :)

I Was on here more than 20 years ago.
I am in Australia and have a '66 Barracuda which has been languishing while life has got between it and myself.

Trying to make up for lost time and I will have a stack of questions if you don't mind please.

If you are still reading, my first question is how does the trunk rubber profile sit in the trunk channel ?

The rubber seal has a vertical side and a horizontal side, then a flap that sticks out between.
Do the two sides glue into the channel? And then would the flap point up or down?

Asking because there are very few Barracudas over here so I have never seen a trunk seal in person.

T I A for any help
Regards
Gary

Welcome back. I can't answer your weatherstrip question but I bet someone will. @FISHYPETE may have a photo for you.

If no one else replies, I can post pic of how mine is set when I get home. Its still the factory seal installed.

I have been offered a link with good info on the trunk rubber thank you anyway

However, if it's not too much bother, would you mind sending pics of the hood latch setup please?
That was going to be my next question.

We didn't get Barracudas here in Australia, only Valiants, and there were differences between our Valiants and yours.

Thanks again
Regards

The hood latch assembly is unique to the '66 Barracuda and U.S. version of the Valiant. It has a remote lever off to the side with a rod going over to the latch itself. Do you need a photo of the latch assembly installed in the car? Just one part, or, all the parts involved?

Thank you for your post.

I Pulled the hood latch and associated bits off over 20 years ago.

I am unsure whether I now have all of the parts that I should have, so pics of what is meant to be on the hood and what is meant to be on the radiator support panel would make it really much easier for me to know what I should have, and where it should go.

If you could post pics that would be a big help, thanks.
Regards
Gary
