Hello all!

I just wanted to say Hi from Tucson. A few weeks ago I picked up a 1973 Gold Duster, and I am very excited to let this consume all of my time and money!

The car was featured on a site when the previous owner was still in Oregon.

I really like this bird so far. It's mist green with a black vinyl top, dark green interior (space duster), with a lovely stock 225 /6. The car is almost rust free, with just some in the spare tire well and front passenger floor, but nothing has eaten through yet. The interior is really nice, with just a few tears in the panels and small hole in the back bench, though it is missing carpet and headliner.

I figure I would introduce my self as I am sure I'll be posting question pretty soon.

Thanks!

I posted one of those comments on the original 'old parked cars' blog. I decided not to restore my F1 Gold Duster back to Mist Green. My 73 Gold Duster is now F3 Amber Sherwood Poly /white vinyl.

Welcome to FABO - your Duster looks like a great car to start with - post more pics!

Sorry its been so long without any updates, I have a parallel thread at slantsix.org as I started with working on the motor. Any way the motor is running fairly well, so now that it is a bit colder in tucson I am working on refreshing the interior. I pulled the seats, remnants of carpet, all the panels, and the space-duster trunk door. I POR15'd the floor, applied Dynomat, and now am working on installing some insulation. I have the carpet ordered and have a used ABS headliner. All that should go in this weekend I hope.

Here is a album of most of my progress. I'll try to update more often!
