hi

did anyone have installed a lokar kickdown on a tunnel ram set up ???

would like to see pictures if can

Just my personal opinion, but something with a tunnel ram I would want a manual valve body in. = No kick down required.

I’ve used a Lokar cable on my tunnel ram with 660 center squirters. Depending on what carbs you use, I had to fabricate a small linkage piece to connect the cable end to.This was required to pull the cable forward while the throttle pulled the linkage rearward.

My Edelbrock intake has two 5/16 threaded holes on the back where I placed the cable mount that also needed to be fabricated. This works well, I’ve used it for 3+ years.

Like Rusty has mentioned, I am going with a mrvb this winter mainly because the 904 I bought has it already and it will eliminate the cable.

I found a photo of my first setup where the carbs sat sideways.
Basically I used a pulley to reverse the direction on the linkage to pull the kickdown cable forward as the throttle cable pulled in the opposite direction.

A little imagination and a small amount of fabrication is all that’s required.

Good luck with your setup.

I will say the tunnel ram is a lot of fun.
