Put a Weiand tunnel-ram on my 66 Coronet. Has a 440 i built.
I ran dual 600 Edelbrocks before on a ch28 dual plane manifold. Ran great with the recommended jetting from Edelbrock.
I had to up the secondary jets to the stock size for the 1405's because of a lean spot.

But my question is about timing. It now pings under full throttle and a heavy load.

Could this be caused by there being more cylinder pressure due to the ram effect of the manifold?
I know I can tune it to be right, I installed it 2 days ago.
Just was interesting how things changed. I like to experiment and thats mainly why I installed it. Good learning experience. It performs really well and I can feel the mid range to upper punch with minimal changes in the low end, and it looks bitchin!

More hp means more cylinder pressure around and at your torque peak. Yep, pull a couple degrees out and make sure you're not running lean either. A lean mixture will cause pinging where there was none before.

Hope this helps and it looks great!
