Here's another pic of the fuel filler cap, and a couple that show it installed. Still debating getting it powder coated black to go with the black top and black wheels I'm planning. Still, I will have chrome bumpers and some stainless trim. What do you think? Silver as you see it or black?

Well I'm guessing it set you back a sweet penny as it looks to be nickel/silver. But, since you asked, I'd paint it the same color as the car and go with the stealth look - MHO

Here's an idea - if you decide to go black (no pun intended) maintain the silver on the mounting bolt heads and the flip tab on the cap . . . hmmmmm?

Dude that is a sweet ride - the engine is the BOMB = Better Off Modified Baby!

Gauges installed in dash. Still need to get pillar pods for 2 more. That POS steering wheel is just temporary and will soon be replaced by a nice Grant mahogany one.

Sweet Scamp man! Turbo mopars are far and few between! by the way where is thast gas cap from? I may need a new one and thast one looks killer
 
Hey man where did you get that dash to hold your guages, i've got a 74 scamp and would love to do something like that. Does someone actually make pillarpods for these cars?? Nice car can't wait to see it done!

thanks for the info! it looks gorgeous, but man is it expensive lol...if we had chevy's we could probably find one for 50 bucks lol....in the end its still mopar or no car for me lol! your scamp is looking great man keep us posted!
 
Dash gauge pod came from Redline Gauges. It's plastic with a carbon fiber look. You can reach them at 661-259-8891, or via email at [email protected]. Cost was $110.00 when I bought it this time last year.

Don't know of any pillar pods made specifically for a-bodies--or for any Mopars for that matter. Bet someone could make a good chunk of change if they could come up with a mold and produce them. Promote them here and I think we'd have a whole bunch of folks willing to pay up. I'd be first in line...
 
Car gets towed to turbo shop today!!! I'm going out there tonight to meet with the fabricator. I'll take some pics tonight.
 
You will need, at the very least, solid motor mounts. I ended up tack welding a set onto the block mount to keep them from twisting. I'm going to a motor plate....

Right you are. Started with biscuit mounts and they'll never hold. Check out the new solid mounts and other goodies that came in this week...

I was breaking the rubber biscuits all the time with no turbos.....
 
I am officially scared!!!

Shop that built my longblock put my build specs through their dyno program. 602 hp at 5000 rpm, 718 ft-lbs of torque at 4000 rpm.....where will it :stop: ? Granted, this is not at the rear wheels, and was at 15 lbs. of boost, while I plan on running only 8 lbs. on the street, still...YOW! I'm never gonna be able to get this thing to hook.

I've got to scan the spec sheet and dyno results and will post them tomorrow.
 
lol sweet. with that much power i would suggest cal-tracs. more traction for the launch. or maby 4 link but idk that will be a lotta fun tho
 
Specs for the motor, and estimates after plugging info into Dyno 2000 computer program. Sorry for the small scale. You know what they say...if you don't stop it, you'll go blind! =P~

Sorry, I tried. I'm an f'n idiot about a lot of things, and computer crap is one. It was sent to me as a fax, and I had my wife scan them into .jpg images. I tried to post them, but the fabo system said they were too large so I had to reduce them. I'd be happy to email them to you if you'd like to take a crack at it! =P~
 
Nice! I think youll be pleasantly surprised at how smooth turbo power is. With that said I feel its easier to hook up some sick turbo power verses a radical motor or a big nitrous motor. I built a motor for my buddies low, low 10 second Duster with stock suspension and hit hooked real well. We had to leave at low boost and then it had all the boost in by the 60 foot marker. Congrats and I cant wait to see the finished product..
 
Fuel tank is in. Had to modify hangers, because the sump was in the way of the stock hanger location. The modified hanger is actually more supportive, and the tank straps fit into the recesses on the stock tank.

P.S. Does th eviper caliper bolt right on or is that a complete set-up...w/rotor?
