Turn Signal Issues

I'm in the process of restoring a 1964 Dart 270 and have run into an issue with the turn signal lights. I just replaced the bulbs and when I test the turn signals, the front ones only work when the marker lights are on and seem to act rather slowly. The taillight blinkers work fine so I'm not sure what the issue is. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sockets grounded properly ? I've seen fixtures well grounded but then the socket loose in it .

I agree with RedFish, a lot of electrical problems can be traced to bad grounds.

Thanks for the help. I've finally got the lights working properly and that's one thing off the list.

p.s. clean prongs on flasher fuse under dash on right side of colum 2 prong 220 grit . H ave a good day ! show pics ????
