turn signal switch question

Bought a new turn signal switch- the repro mopar perf. one on ebay- didn't come with instructions- fit great, but it has a 3 wire connector that I need to know if anyone knows what it is for or if it is just extra for newer vehicles. Thanks for the help. Ed

May not be needed. I have a new Chrysler switch in my car an I know there a few wires not used. Probably made to fit multiple years.

There was a thread on here a couple of months ago. The switch is a multiple application and has an extra harness that was used on some cars and not others.

The new mopar performance switch has the same three wire plug. I did not need it for my 74 Duster.

I called Mopar Performance and they were no help. So as stated above most likely made for multiple applications.

On the 8 wire side do all of the wire colors match the old wires?

yes, the main connector matches up just fine. I was just baffled by the extra connector. Thanks
