Turning back the clock

Awesome job! I'm impressed beyond words! I'm putting my 72 Dart in the paint shop Monday, to have some blue and red added in a somewhat similar Sox & Martin pattern, and I love the blue and red tones you used on The Flash. What paint colors/codes did you use if you don't mind me asking?

I'll get it....just escapes me right now. Pretty sure are both Ford colors, the red is almost orange.

The red was 1965 Mustang Poppy Red.

Was great meeting you guys at Carlisle! Got my signed container of Flash burnout rubber sitting here by me. LOL

never let good tire rubber go to waste. (Mr. Firestone)

I think I see a little fragment from the 1975 GatorNationals win in there???? ...good little memento....right?

That's a bowl slam fulla badassary right there. Yall did a great job on that thing. Is it officially finished? Will it ever go down the track again? I'm not sure I'd wanna chance it.....but I probably would. LOL

just a couple of small items that are not up to the standards yet, on going down the track, I'm have a few ideas I'm working on.

i'm going to go sniff the parts you sent and see if i can detect any melted rubbery goodness :D

Might be a little Flash funk on them....I boxed them less than a foot away from the car.....or it could be mine. I would proceed with caution if I were you.

Did some recent horse trading ........This is the first of three Wally's Butch won with the Direct Connnection M/P Hemi Duster. Butch has the other two.

TV shelf in my shop. The Wally is approx 18" tall

Butch told me he was protested at Gainesville after this win. Modified Production race cars were not allowed any tubing to extend thru the floor sheet metal. The race car has bars that appear to go thru the floor pan but after careful examination the bar goes to a plate on the floor and sandwiches the floor with a plate from the bottom side where the ladder bar attachments are located. The protest was thrown out.

that must have been some premium race horses to get your hands on that Wally! Nice addition Denny!

Actually...it was an autographed Butch Leal / Castro Racing Oil uniform. I hated to give it up.....then next thing I know, Butch sends me an autographed Rod Shop uniform to replace it.....the Rod Shop uniform will soon to adorn the HDK shop in a glass frame.
