I agree with makin it your own. While you certainly can seek advice here and elsewhere, don't lose track of whose large and in charge. YOU.

Problem w the "periscope scoops" is they are non functional
Just cut a round hole in the hood and make them just as functional as the twin scoops on a dart hood with the two round holes that are what 4-5 in diameter? An non functional scoop is pretty lame. Just to let some hot air out at least.

Got a 69 low restriction 4bbl air cleaner for my sons 69. Looking to cut holes in the hood to make it functional. Anybody have a template for that? Size, location of holes? Where can i get the grommets for the holes?

Supposedly the 73-76 twin scoop is one of the best scoops made for ram air. I dont know 100% for certain, but have read about it in several places. The raised inlet on the scoop makes the openings sit above the turbulent air that the front of the car cuts thru to allow more of a ram effect at higher speeds.

This is my old race car with a 75 dart sport hood. On my current car I found a set of butchered cuda scoops and made them functional, using the same rubber rings as the dual scoops on the darts.

Qkcuda Can you see the RH hood mounted signal with those scoops? I have a set of hood mounted signals i am concidering putting on sonnys car, wonder if RH one is visible past the scoop. If not, i am not going to drill holes for them. If they are visible with the scoops, could you making me a template so i can drill the hood in the correct spot for them?

Are you talking about the cuda twin scoops? If so , yes I can see the turn signals. Are you looking for a template for the scoops or the turn signals?

Yessir. Something that i can line up with the corners of the hood, that has the correct hole sizes. My sons car has light package. I am assuming hood mounted signals were part of that.

i would never put a twin scoop on a notch back

the front, sure

Here are some pictures of the location. I didn't want to try removing them, since they haven't moved in 50 years. Hope they help.

The wiring runs thru the bracing that angles from the front corners of the hood center of the hood. They then connect to the wiring harness towards the driver’s side of the firewall.

Here is another picture that shows the wires running through the hood bracing

That's awesome. Now can anybody tell me exactly how long the wires are From the bulb socket to the bayonet.

I have a spare set of these hood mounted 69-71 signals for sale in one of the other forums. OEM used with new wiring

I don't have the car anymore. Those pictures were saved on my computer. Machmeter1 is the new owner and may be able to help.
