a freind gave me an iron 4 barrel carb and manifold, and seeings how I'm broke, I can't afford to go aluminum. I'm switching from 2 to 4 barrel. so my question is, do i have to match port the heads to put the thing on? it's a '73 318. thanks.

No, you dont have to..some say the port mismatch will give you better low end. I dont think that's the case, but if it's ultra low budget, I've run them with no complaints...
