Well found my chsrging issue that started this morning. Now just to find out why.

While driving, ammeter dove to dead. Car still runs. Check alt, not charging. Replaced under warranty replaced voltage reg under warranty. Still no improvement. Decided to start tracking wires and grounds when i found it.

Corroded wire broke and shorted/melted wire harness connector behind passenger side valve cover.

Bummer.

Well rewire complete, Tested batt alt and charge load and all is good!

Had the same thing with mine about 5 years ago. Just seen the post or I

Shorts and grounds! Or is it grounds and shorts? Whichever....probably 95% of our electrical problems. By the way, did ya know that 97.237 % of quoted stats are made up?
