I bought a non numbers matching 69 M code 440 Dart for $1800 and as I was hauling it away the owner asked me If I wanted a 68 Dart parts car without the title for free. I said sure and it turned out that it was a 68 383 GTS 4-speed car and the signed title was in the glove box. It must be that he got the car and never checked the glove box. A week later I sold the 68 GTS for $900 and a year after that I sold the M-code Dart for $2000 to a guy that had the original munbers maching motor. I also kept the non matching motor from the 440 Dart freshened it up and put it in my 'cuda 440.

The most recent deal I ran across was a rust free fender for my 68 Barracuda for some Sebring parts I had paid $23 for. My 68 I got for the price of pulling the engine and tranny out of it for the guy. Of course it needed a little work to be road worthy.

I can't beat any of that so I won't even try.

DITTO!

Well this is streching it ......but I paid 2000.00 for my 1969 superbee when I bought it in 1983, its been garage kept and "stationary' for almost 30 years,(I do drive it annually when I travel home in July) it has quietly sat while I served my country for 24 years and its a 99% solid, every nut turns everything works 383 4 speed car! in retrospect I got one hell of a deal and will make the full resto in a couple years very painless!

LOL, I replaced the hood last summer, the guy drove it 8 hours to my moms house because he didnt want it to be damaged.
Heres what it looked like before that!
And to be honest when I ripped the scoop off that hood it was the blister hood so the search continues......

About 8 yrs. ago I bought a Barracuda parts car and the seller asked if I was interested in a 3X2Bbl. carburetor set-up. I said I'd look at it and the seller said he'd bring it on Saturday when I picked up the car. I went back the following Saturday, and using my best "I really don't need this..." routine, managed to buy my 6Bbl. set-up for $250.

I'm talking air cleaner to manifold 6Bbl !!!!

And that's how I decided to run a 6Bbl. on my car.... :-D

Thank you for your service to keep my civilian *** safe! :-D In '83 this wasn't too awful uncommon, but still......Damn! Great deal! I saw a real '69 Shelby GT500 for $2500 and turned it down. Little did I know that just the steering wheel would be worth that now....

No pictures. But a good story.
A friend told me about a guy who had a Mopar 4 speed shifter.
Got with the guy and found out it was a pistol grip out of a
70 B body with a console.
He wanted, Get this! $20.00 for it. I said cool, I'll take it.
No, i didn't keep it. I resold it at a Mopar swap meet down
in southern Wi. I no sooner got it out of the box to put it on
the table to sell. A guy comes up an offers me $450.00 for it.
I said I'll take it. Nice profit.
Also bought a 73 Cuda for parts for a 70 Cuda project I had
going. Told a buddy when I was picking it up. He and his brother
met me about half way home. He bought the hood off it right
away. That paid for the car. It also had a 71 Cuda grille in it.
Sold it in Mopar Collectors guide for a nice profit.

I bought a 1970 340 engine from a Chevy guy, it was complete minus the intake manifold. It had a forged crank, X heads, etc. Get this, $50! Granted the block was already bored .60 over, it was a sweet deal! He looked at it as junk in his barn, just wanted it gone.

I got these Crossrams from ebay, the seller only listed them as "Super Bee Intake". I emailed the seller and asked if he had a "buy it now" price in mind, he said they were his brothers and he would have to ask him. He got back to me and said he would take $250 for them, guess what, SOLD to me!! :toothy10: Other than some old dirt and oil still on them, they are in awesome shape!! :-D

A body chrome sport mirrors $15.00
76 A body bucket seats $30.00

In high school my brother & I found a fiberglass hood with a teardrop scoop for an early Mustang laying in a lot with a bunch of junked cars. Took it to the local speed shop, sold it for $25 & split the money.

A friend got a decent, non running '68 or '69 Formula S Notchback with a 4 speed for $50. He also got a nice '65 Barracuda that had been abandoned for free.

Hood, front bumper & both front fenders for a '65 Barracuda-$25 (These came from the above '65) The guy later sold me a driver's door for $25. He felt like he'd given me too good of a deal on the other parts. I agree.
