These are pictures taken a little while ago around my place. Smoke is from fires around the State. I live in a fairly large valley and it draws the smoke in. As of earlier this week there were 240 fires through out Washington State. Fire fighters are maxed. Canadians have been sending fire teams down (thank you). I haven't seen blue sky in about a month. smoke makes the Sun very Orange , kinda creepy.

the jet stream is actually pushing that smoke directly at us in CO. its been real hazy here the last few days.

Smokey here as well, no where near as bad as your pictures. Amazing how a bit of smoke makes the sunsets all sorts of pinks and what not.....almost looks like they did when I lived in Phoenix with all that damn pollution....

Not real worried . Closest fire is about 60 miles. I,ve got about 100 acres of cheat grass next to me. I keep it trimmed around my place pretty well.
Schools have been calling off outside sports because of the air, at first I thought it was kinda wussy but I'm starting to taste the smoke when I go out. We may have to change our name from the Ever Green State.
