Underside color

[62 Signet]

I am wanting to dress up the underside of my 62 Valiant. It only has minor surface rust but looks bad. It appears to have never been painted but maybe some type of rust prohibitor was applied at the factory. Any suggestions on what I should do? Clean and leave alone or paint it the same as the outside (Valiant white).

imo i would undercoat it because if your goin to drive the car you wont have to worry about chips or flakes but if its a show car i would paint it

What color is it now? Grey and rough? Spray undercoat, 3m from walmart. scrape the loose stuff; you will find surprises. Ospho is your friend.
