hi.i have been offered this set up in even trade for my freshly rebuilt 383 big block.but i don`t know what type of blower or the age of it neither does the owner.can anybody here tell me what this is.thanks tom r.

Looks like a Dyers 6V-71

Its hard to tell from the pics but the case looks alittle small and is that an Indy Mod Man intake?

thanks for the reply,yes the intake is the indy mod man.the intake is vew and newer used.i am really unsure of the value of this set up.perhaps i would be better of just keeping my big block.
The 6v-71,moves less air than a 6-71.Used a bit in the 70's in chevy kit form.

that set up in new would be around $4000-$5000+. if you want a blower motor you should trade for it.

thats just a 6v-71. no one even rebuilds them for street use anymore, a regular 671 is a much better unit. the 6v really isnt worth anything.

I know I'm right....
6V-71 has shorter rotors than a 6-71 and pumps 20% less air according to another site. 6-71 bolts straight down and is shaped like a D, flat bottom. The 6V-71 is more round with a smaller flat base and angles bolts as stated. I bet you can still get seals for them...

Dyers will rebuild the 6V71. A friend had one done a couple of years ago. I spoke with them a year ago and they still have limited support for them. They do move less air but as Dyers explained it 6psi is 6psi and for a street car it's not bad. Since you don't know the condition, it's not polished and it's an outdated 6V71 I would think $2500. You may have to have work done to it. You definitely will want someone like Dyers to inspect it. Good luck

hi.i made a trade on the blower set up.got some more info on it also.it is rebuilt and not used after that.so i think i made a good deal,he also trowed in a offenhauser 2x4 intake with carbs,new electric distributor,new comp cams cam kit,2 273 engines and a pair of rust free 2dht doors.iam satisfied with the deal.
