I'm still here!
Got home from the hospital Friday. Still had about 7 lbs of fluid to get rid of> They had to take me off the lassix (sp) drip.

Got home and continued Torsemide (water pill). Have been removing three liters of fluid
each night since I've been home. Was down to 195 lbs yesterday. I am now on oxygen
24/7. I feel much better when we get out, I can breathe. Yesterday I felt as good as I did
in late 2015.

Also I am on the bipap every night. The oxygen is piped thru the mask....love this thing
I sleep really good.

It only took about five days to put this fluid on at the IU Med Center in Indy. Been trying to get rid of it for three months. I started out with 33 or 34 lbs (around 5 gallons). It's been quite the ordeal.

Had three major blockages...had to have stints put in....heart was to weak for by pass surgery.
On the first try the guy prepping me ran the needle thru the first artery, out the back and into the next artery. They stopped the process and put me in Icu, they told Thelma I may have 5 minutes
to 5 hours to live. Kidneys were shutting down. My nephew told me later that my lips were black. I guess they asked me what I would like to have. I said some cold beer would be nice.
The NP found the lady in charge of the complete Icu......she told him to let me have what I wanted. My nephew went out for a 6 pack of beer. I guess it was a first for the Icu....beer party.
Nurses going by the windows were doing double takes. Most of this info was passed onto me
as I don't remember much. My nephew said my lip color was back to normal the next
morning and my kidney function had improved. Never under estimate the healing powers of
Bud Light (he couldn't find my Bud Select 55)

Enough rambling for now.
Updates to follow when I can.

Love you all
Tony

glad to hear you're doing better. You need to send this story to Bud though, that has to be a proven first.

If you need anything, shoot me a message, I'm just a few minutes away.

I think God had more to do with it than the Bud.
Lost another 4 liters of fluid yesterday and last night.
Thanks again
Tony

I am glad to hear you're still with us. Although it's not on the list of my favorite things to drink, I'm sure there's more beer out there to be had for you.
