Im doing a Kelsey Hayes swap on the front of my 67' Barracuda.

Im planing on runing the series 63 OE style wheels and going to 15" staggered width. My question is, their 15x7 rims seem to only go up to 4" back spacing, is that enough to work the the KH and what size tires will fit without issues?

In the back Im looking at 15x8 with either 4" or 4.5" back spacing, I think the 4.5 is a better option but not sure exactly what size tire I can run there either?

Cheers, and thanks in advance. Im in Canada so ordering and shipping is an ordeal, want to get it right.

my 67 has small bolt pattern all the way around the rears are 15x7 with 4.25 bs 255 60, i have ran 15x8 275 60 with 4.25 bs

the fronts i have 15x5.5 with 3.5 bs 205 70

with your 4 inch back space as a only option 245 60 15 might be a safe bet on a 15x7

Only advice I can offer is when u order do it thru Summit. If spending over 3 or $400 the shipping is free. You pay duties taxes up front, but no surprises. Typically I've found 20%.
Good luck, I'm looking at wheel vintiques also.

I have some 14x6 aluminum slots with 3 1/4" back spacing and they fit over the factory discs easily.

if you have small bolt pattern might try some new axels @ the rear and a disc setup from a 73 and up. This would upgrade you to big bolt pattern

I have these wheels on my 66 and really like them. They are SBP, 15x7 in the back with 245/60-15 and 15x6 in the front with 215/65-15. They fit nicely on both ends.

4.5” back spacing is also an option, just not the factory 4.25”. I think the 4.5” will work just looking for some confirmation about it. Thanks for the info.

I’m happy with the wheel options I’ve found, just need to figure out what size and back spacing will work.

I think a 15x8 with 4.5” back spacing will fit? And 15x7 up front with 4” back spacing?

The 15x7" with 4" backspacing should be ok in the front because you kept the small bolt pattern. 15x7, 4.25" backspace is what the big bolt pattern disks need, but they also widen the track width compared to the SBP KH disks.

Not sure what rear axle you have, but if it's a 7.25 with the SBP a 4.5" backspacing will likely be too much.

8 3/4” sbp

with a 4.25" B.S. You can just pass your fingers between the Tire and the LeafSpring.
You might also need to spin the tires with a piece of pipe between the tire and outer fender lip for a little extra clearance..

15x8 with a 4.5” will be tight even with the 8 3/4 and SBP. It’ll depend on your tire choice, but you might need a spacer to make those work.
Will 15x7 with either 4 or 4.5” Bs work?

I could got 15x6 up front with 4” Bs and 15x7 with 4.5” in the back.

With a 15x7 in the back I would use the 4” backspace.

A 15x8 with 4.5” of backspace and a 15x7 with 4” of backspace have the same offset- the centerline of the wheel is in the same place.

Ok, awesome.

So if I got 15x7 4” BS in the back and 15x6 with 4” BS up front I should be ok?

I’d say that should be a pretty safe bet. Obviously it will depend on your tire choices too, and I’m not as well versed on the early A’s as I am with the 67+ cars.

Just as soon as you take the wheels from the box , lay a straight edge across the back of each wheel and check the backspace. A few years ago I bought 2 wheels from Jegs and from Summit , both pair were not as I ordered , they were anywhere from 1/8 to 1/4 more backspace and each pair where not the same backspace.
So just a warning , they people making these wheels are not rocket scientists , so beware !!!
