Hi y’all,
So I have a 66 Dart GT 2dr 270 ci hardtop. It’s automatic and it’s on the tree. It came with 2 front bucket seats when I bought it over a year back. There is no middle console. Do you think it was originally a bench seat?

Also, I’m wanting to put new upholstery front and back, remove old floor carpet. Legendary Auto Classic sells an entire kit with the foam, covers and all and new carpet for around $1500. Does this sound right or do you have a better source for less?

See if the floor has the reinforcement at the inner seat mounting holes that would indicate bucket seats from the factory. My bench seat car does not

And my bucket seat car doesn't have the reinforcements yet it is a bucket seat/console car.

Legendary is the best.

Classic industries carries legendary and sometimes puts them on sale for less than legendary. If you're not in a hurry keep an eye out.

Are you restoring or just improving?

I went with a local upholstery shop.

Legendary sent me this card last week. If using them, be sure to take advantage of the sale.

nice pics. Well, the vinyl is real old and failing apart. The foam is also coming apart from the cracks of the seats. The carpet is old and I want to remove, clean the floor and seal then put noise deadening material then carpet.

Dang love it!! Can you fill a big difference with the noise deadening? Did it also help with heat/cold insulation?

What does something like this cost to do at a shop or should run for? I had a couple shops quote me $7.5k just for the seats (leather).

They also carry PG Classics interior panels as well, does anyone have an opinion on them? I noticed that for the price of two Legendary door panels, PG Classics also includes the two rears as well.

Leather??

Outdoor furniture heavy vinyl. New foam and all springs and frames painted.. Chrome polished was $1,600.

Siles Max 120 sound deadener $65

Eastwood Platinum Encapsulator $61

Carpet from Classic Industries $180

Repair work on rear seat frame.

Surprising all I know is my bench car didn’t have the reinforcements or any holes for the inner mounts. I would assume bucket cars had the reinforcements

i always go with a local shop. not trying to duplicate stock though. just had my duster redone. both seats and all four side panels in a really nice blue cloth that i picked for $1200.

sources for less, but never the same quality or willingness to stand behind their work...

IMHO Legendary is worth the higher price, and yes you are right on time for their annual 25%off deal.

if you're not trying to duplicate a stock interior and only want it to look good a local shop is likely a cheaper alternative than legendary.

that being said, you won't find better quality than legendary for the price. i bought the interior for my 69 fastback in 2001 and it still looks great today.

your interior doesn't look too blowed out. you might well get away with just some foam and a cover for the driver's seat. throw some carpet it after sealing and sound deadener and you'll be solid.

The seats tear each time I seat on them. The rear seams are ripping when sat on. They are dried out..

Material gets brittle over time. The back seat was in nice shape, but felt like a plastic bucket. The skins on the front faded to an orange color almost, and the cushions were crumbling at a rapid pace (Like Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree). It was definitely time.

I have not had it on the road since doing the interior. Finishing up the gauge cluster now, then it's just new tires and about done. Unfortunately, it's winter starting, so I won't be on the road until spring most likely.

Gotcha. Thanks! Share a video when you get on on the road
