Upper Control Arms - Disc vs. Drum

Guys,

Is there a difference between pre-1973 upper control arms disc vs. drum?

They look the same to me.

A bodies from about 64-72 used the same upper control arm for the 9 inch drum, the 10 inch drum, or the Kelsey Hayes factory small bolt pattern disc brakes. Only the spindle was different.

If you are using KH discs on a pre 72, you can swap just the spindles. If you want the large bolt pattern discs that came on the 73-76 A bodies, you will need the larger ball joint 73-76 upper control arm.

BTW, many people don't know this but most (if not all) of the 73-76 A bodies EVEN WITH DRUM BRAKES had the bigger ball joint UCA.
