Looking for opinions on uscartools early A sub frame connectors. Thinking about ordering a pair for my 65 Valiant and was wondering if any of you have used them? Thanks, Litz
I've installed a couple of sets. They save a lot of work being shaped closely to the floor pan. There is still a bit of grinding and shapoing but they work pretty well. They look like they could have been factory once installed. Really stiffen the car up. I recommend them.
Ditto what he said.Agree. Took some grinding to final fit but good pieces!
Thanks for the info! Sounds like good advice.I just finished installing these on my 70 Dart.
Here is a tip to get them fitting perfect:
1. Test fit them to the floor pan out of the box, my passenger side was dead on, but the drivers need a little a more shaping.
2. Take a piece of cardboard and lay it against the connector and trace the shape
3. Cut that out, so basically you have the connector shape but in cardboard form.
4. Fit the cardboard form to the floor, and shape as needed.
5. Once the card board is fitted to the floor, transfer that template to the connector and shape as needed.
Trust me this will save hours of frustration, mainly because those connectors are heavy!
Good luck!
