UTG engine build "callout"

There's Junk then there's junk that isn't junk. Tony plays around with pure scrap heap junk. And there is no denying it. That Nicks 318 Dyno escapade is proof :)

Did you see Plan Z take off in that last video? Sounded pretty good and didn't take off too bad at all... That's supposed to be going to the track next.

Ya know honestly yes I watched it but it was on mute on my phone..I didn't hear it and I didn't see the tire smoke but I will agree it moved out nice. Do you think it will pass tech with all the holes in the structure. Although I'm sure UT knows the NHRA rules for tech inspection.

One thing I'd like to address, is the idea these days that if you disagree with someone, you get labeled a "hater" a "troll" or your "bashing" someone. There is a DISTINCT difference in being in disagreement about someone's methods, and being full of hate. I personally dont have any Ill feelings twords UT, as I have said in the past, I'd probably hang out and drink a beer with the guy. But I disagree with a lot of his methods, he has some useful knowledge, and some completely wrong knowledge, but I'm sure hes a good guy. And I do think hes the automotive equivalent to a snake oil salesman, but that's not hate.
 
The amount of holes are not of concern but where the holes are is a concern but not from what I see on the car. You can go fairly nuts balls out crazy doing holes before a tech inspector says “Hey wait a minute here....!!!!”

Agree my only gripe and I've voiced is that he will be the reason behind driving up the cost of "boat anchor " 318s all of a sudden they are in demand...LOL! nah but seriously the guy obviously had a marketing idea and it worked. I am not so sure that copycats will fare as well though. One thing about Tony, people love him he could produce absolute proven junk like that Nicks dyno debacle and his fans will tune in for more. Back to the 318..he said " anything that a 340 can do you can do with a 318" that statement is not 100% true IMO. it should be revised to "..with a modified 318" and even then its alot of work making a 318 into a performance engine. So yeah ,snake oil salesman? stating mistruths ? yes definitely. Most don't pay attention to detail so it is a non issue

Just curious, what exactly has he said that is proven wrong? I mean if you're saying he's s snake oil salesman, you're implying he's lying.... I really don't want to hear about the fricking lifters cuz guess what, even the factory guys things its something different than what people here say so.... Being wrong, isn't snake oil, so if he's lying, what about?
 
The more I think about it, Tony is a genius... take Bottle rocket, my first thought is "why didn't the hack / butcher shake down the front end before he went to the track" but on the other hand, he can drag out the YT videos with his Bottle rocket exploits, it doesn't even matter if were all dead before he achieves the goal, its more watching the videos than it is about the results..brilliant ! I want to see parts flyin' off next time it will be better than Sanford and son...:)

I cant wait till he blows it up with the squeeze...LOL!

I agree with that assessment. It's way too rampant these days to get called a hater......I get that. But in this case everybody ALREADY knows how yall all feel. You just find the need to beat that dead horse until it's a greasy spot in the middle of the road.

...and for the record, I disagree with a lot of what he says and does.....just like I do everybody. But I don't keep hammerin on it. I can accept the fact that I'll never think exactly like someone else and move on.

P.S. If you want to see UT hate ,check out Brian Cabral on YT, he is a bit gruff and hard to take, but he is spot on when it comes to UTG. I first caught on to Brian right around when UT threw lambchop under the bus during the first Bottle rocket test runs. . If you listen long enough you'll laugh..but then again maybe not :)

he said something about seeing Tony coming a mile away..noise, smoke every where pieces of suspension dragging on the ground, ruining the asphalt. I cracked up its dern near the reality of it.

I think the fascinating thing is this huge group of obsessed people who are hell bent on bashing everything he says.... and are willing to look like petty fools in the process....

Hey, c'mon man....he said he LIKES when we discuss his projects and point out mistakes, it gets him more publicity, "clicks" on his videos ya know. So if you think about it, we are helping him MAKE money. The more he is discussed, even in a negative light, the more money in his pocket.
 
One thing for sure, no matter if he croaks a broke man,( and I don't think he is or will) Uncle Tony is definitely famous and will be remembered.

alot of fun and not personal so ya...UTG love 'em or hate 'em..we all have our own junk to work on when the mood strikes.

He likes attention to the channel, but I think he appreciates respectful disagreements. As to people stating "troll or hater", I just think comments with name calling, accusations, and "slam remarks" that are repeated over and over are what lead folks to use "hater". I just used one of your remarks below, though there have been many. Folks will interpret that as a "hater" or "troll". A troll is when you watch the channel but hate everything you see, but you have to "look again". Just say'n :)

Yeah, I DID say that......and I'm trying a new softer, gentler approach.....haha. I guess part of my thought process comes from the old school way I was raised. And that was "if you cant do the job right, dont do it at all" We never imagined a guy could make money building garbage and becoming famous for it. I'll still watch it though, its enjoyable sometimes.
