What's needed to put a V6 magnum in an a body? Remember I'm not looking for a power house, i just think it would be different and fun to do. Any one tried this first hand?

Thanks for the quick reply Toolmanmike! i found the pictures of the wagon with the V6, thats the look i was thinking about, not so much on power or fuel mileage but that different kind of look!
And it fits in there nicely!

I think Magnum 3.9L is very doable, any issues would be the same as a 5.2 or 5.9 swap, except for the mounts if they are different (are they?). What I want to do is swap a 3.6L Pentastar and 8-speed trans; 292 HP and 30 MPG hwy in a big ol' Chrysler 300, who knows what it could do in a little A-body.

I had 1967 Chrysler 300 body in good shape years ago but i didn't get a motor with it. It would have looked awesome with a little V6 magnum setting under the hood! Probably slow but real cool!

Sorry maybe should have said "big new Chrysler 300" lol... my parents just got a 2014 and it's almost as fast as their 2009 with the 5.7 Hemi and 5-speed POS Mercedes trans. The awesome thing is that new 8-speed trans has such a wide ratio spread you don't need any more than 3.08 rear gears to push a 4200 lb car with a 3.6L engine. Launches hard, shifts quick, and cruises at 75 mph turning ~2000 RPM.

I do love C-bodies though, wrenched pretty hard on a '69 Polara 2-door and my cousin's '72 Polara 4-door. If I did build one I think I would try to swap in a turbodiesel, I think the front end might be long enough to fit a 6BT Cummins and the front subframe is different than A and B-body Mopars, I think it could be modified easier to hold the weight of a diesel. Height would probably be the main issue.

Or a 4bt in a dodge short bed truck lowered! With a 5 speed stick shift!

That would be awesome, pretty much any older car or truck with a decent running modern turbodiesel would be awesome lol. It would be super cool with a C-body because normally the only way to make them really move is with a big block and then you average 12 MPG; top speed would be lower with a diesel but everyone knows what a tuned Cummins can do in the torque department and you'd be getting double the fuel mileage easily.

72 Dart Swinger 3.6L Pentastar +T5

I remember seeing the 3.9 crate engine swap into a Duster done by one of the mopar magazines probably 15 or so years ago.....just can't remember which magazine.

I've wondered about putting a 2.7L or 3.5L FWD from an Intrepid into an early Dart. Anybody done that?
That might make for a decent winter beater
(That, or the 3.5 v6 awd drive train from an late 2000s charger or 300)
