V8 oil pan

Any one know if you can remove the oil pan without lifting the motor? (It's a 360 with stock center sump in a '63 Dart)

I'm guessing you can't...
 
I would think not. I don't have more than an inch or two between the pan and k member. You might be able to lift it up just off the k member to pull the pan. It's worth a try.
 
I can remove my oil pan in my 69 bcuda with a 440. I have to lower the drag link and it helps alot to glue the gaskets and windage tray to the pan before trying to put it back in.

Yeah but you have room in your engine bay. Not much in a early A with a v8. Top or bottom, let alone sides.
 
I switched the pan on my '65 Valiant with a 340 in the car. You have to remove the center link and it came right out.
 
maybe I'll give it a go then - i just remember it was a b#tch getting the pan out of the cordoba in the junkyard...
