Hi, I have four valve bodies and two have six (6) screws on the top cover plate.
I was told that this makes them worth more for upgrades. One has Philip head screws
and the other flat head screws on the other side. Are they worth anything?

Naw their all about the same, the newer 1s have a part throttle kick down feature unless u have a lock up 1, then their not wanted. Kim

The one in the picture is the newer one (71 and up) that has part throttle kickdown. That's the only advantage I see. The older valve bodies can be programmed to shift just the same. The ones with the PT kickdown do usually sell for slightly more sometimes but it's not much difference

what are the ones with the four screws on top? I thought they were older rear pump drive
not compatible with 66 and up TF's

I have a 68 and 69 VB in my parts stash. Monday I'll look at them and see how many screws they have and post back. I think they are the 4 screw type but it's been so long since I looked at them I don't remember for sure

If its got an S shaped little pipe, its for a lock up.

Here's a '66, I have a couple '67s that are 4 screw as well. No PTK, obviously.
