Very satisfying to watch!!!

That was a warped head! My Mazda head was like that, they had to mill it to clean up all the deep pitted corrosion and they went so far, the oil jet that pops up from the block that feeds the head oil ( a little 1/4 stub with an o-ring) bottomed out in the head and propped the head up off the block even when I torqued it down to cause a coolant leak on corner. I was lucky not to have cracked the head with that obstacle! I took it apart. Looked at where it was leaking and found the oil jet hole too shallow now. Took a letter bit (didn't have metrics) close enough and drilled the hole a little deeper. Found out later that the MA motor requires a copper head gasket spacer if the head is milled more than 1mm to prevent this from happening. So now I have about 9:1 compression up from 8.6. I may bite the bullet and get that spacer to cut down on the compression and NOx production for Cal. smog.

I had an aluminum head that took a .090 cut to make it flat again.......

A three foot long straight eight head, with 27 head studs.
