hey guys,

here is a vid of my dad's 69 dart beast that he just finished this year...he got it 20 years ago (the year before i was born) and because of family stuff it has been on the backburner for years....however, in the last 4 years or so he has been working on it again and it is now what you see in this video....a pavement pounding beast....power comes from a 440 with M1 intake, purpleshaft cam 292 duration, huge CPPA headers, ported 906 heads and a holley 850 dp mechanical among other things....727 manual valvebody with 3500 TCI converter and 4.88 gears in a 8-3/4 suregrip...enjoy the vid

hey guys,

thanks for the comments...this is an old thread, dont know how it got moved back up...the car hasnt been to the track yet, but from calculations it should turn low 12's/ high 11's on a good day...its a blast to drive and at 70mph in 3rd gear it can break the tires loose...puts a smile on my face every ride and makes me want to have my scamp done even more...Mopar baby!

Sounds like a fun car, and great looking color too.

What kind of exhaust is he using on that Dart? It sounds good when he opens it up.
 
can you please tell me what the name of that paint color is and where i can get it. possibly some more pics?
 
hey guys,

the video is actually pretty bad quality...the exhaust is 3 inch pipe put together by him with old edelbrock mufflers (atleast 10 years old) so hes not sure which model muffs they are....the car sounds good but i tell him it aint loud enough lol. The colour is super sonic blue pearl...its an acura colour and he also got a little bit of crushed blue crystal added in the clear when the paint was done...the car looks real nice and he gets alot of comments on the paint....he was out driving one day and a man and his son in a truck waved a $10 bill at him to do a burnout, but he didnt do it lol...i dont know what else he needs to bribe him to do it- maybe next year he'll roast them before he puts new tires on it...im happy the car turned out this good- a 20 year long project finally paid off for him and everyone seems to love it (except the ricers and neighbors)
