So, I just bought the 1971 Demon that my Dad bought new from Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge. The engine is long gone to a mishap when he was racing, paperwork has been lost over the years to prove the dealer he bought it from. Does anyone out there know the best way to track this back to have paperwork proving its origin? We have confirmed 100% that it is his old car, but now need a paper trail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Call Larry directly, have the VIN ready.

Not all of the Mr. Norm's dealership records still exist, so there is only one way to find out..... 76zero-63zero-zero547

He is in California.

Thank you sir. I will be in contact with him.

Jim on this site also works with Mr. Norm these days, he'll likely chime in here sometime..........

I was able to talk with Larry. A complete set of paperwork was found! Thanks guys I can't tell you how much this means to me to have this coming.

Here are the pictures of when we found it, loaded, and after a wash.

That is the car. The seller just hasn't taken the ad down. That is some good detective work, Sir.

You were watching that particular ad or this thread?

Glad this car is going to someone who will take good care of her! You guys look pretty happy in that last pic, congratulations on a great find!

Got all my paperwork to prove 1971 GSS Demon from Mr Norms today! They had everything.

AWESOME!!!!!! Can/would you post pics of the paperwork? I've never seen any of Norm's papers that people have received.

Well, Dad blew up the original 340 and put a 440 in it. We found who has the block and literally talked to him minutes ago. He won't sell it period. At least I know where it is, but what a bummer. I will have to keep working that with him.

Well that sucks!! It's just a 340 motor to him, maybe you could trade him another 340 of equal or more value?
Did he say why he wont sell it?

Apparently it was built into a stroker many years ago. I will be up there Labor Day weekend. I plan to talk with him in person and try to verify the numbers. I would be very willing to offer up another block with cash. One car guy to another, I would do that for some else if the situation was reversed and I had his block.

Talk to him calmly and maybe he will understand that the motor should be reunited with the car. But, he may be 1 if those guys that will want a King’s ransome for it. U may have to offer him a stroker build of his choosing. Kim
