Vintage Direct Connection parts. Let’s see em!

Counter top stand-up display, with Kimberly, part number P4120703. I've had this since 1982 or 1983. It's a little worn. Hanging on the wall instead of a counter top.

I just got an NOS one

Don’t know if these Dodge and Plymouth wind socks are DC or old dealer stuff ??

Currently trying to pick up a good used Mopar P/N 4349266 solid lifter cam (.620/324 duration) in the original box with 15 of the original solid lifters. Guy wants $35 for it. Way too big for me to run, but I trying to pick it up for an Oregon cam regrind. Of course, it would be good garage art!
Unfortunately, this didn’t work out. I find it hard to believe, but Facebook marketplace is even more flakey than craigslist or let go. Maybe I should open a separate thread up so people can let off steam about their failed buys on these platforms!

I also have some very rough blue anodized VC’s that aren’t worthy of pics, yet.

Got a couple of my DC books signed by Butch Leal last month, real nice guy. He was really excited I brought the old books and said they gave him goosebumps! He was telling us a story about the model on the back cover and how during the DC photo shoot she had to change outfits…she was standing by Butch and just stripped down buck naked right in front of him, he said his eyes popped out of his head…..maybe that’s the reason he got goosebumps :p

These were packaged for DC. And also sold with original manufactures boxes at places like Beverly Hills Car Cover. We have about 3 of them bought when Beverly Hills Car Cover used to have parking lot sales.

I ran one in my 68 Barracuda for decades. Filed down a tie rod nut and put an angle bracket under it for the pickup. Then 4 magnets glued to the rims. More accurate than my speedo is.

Cool!

You reminded me that I have second one on display in my house. It's not NOS, but it is in much better shape than the one in the shop: View attachment 1716341474

Also here is another Miss Direct Connection poster behind a door that I forgot earlier:

I should have a bunch of DC Girl posters. But I think most have been hung in a garage so I don't think they are in that good of shape.

The pic with you and Butch, the guy in background looks like your uncle Tim
