i had met a guy in 2015 that was at a show we brought our car to that told me about all his
Mopars. Got busy and never found the time to go visit even though he is 4 miles from the house. He came by two weekends ago and said hello at the local car show. Wanted to know why I had not been by yet. Told him I would come visit over Labor Day. Well today I made the time for the 4 minute drive and Dang did I get treated! Not 1 but 4 max cars. Three 62 Savoys with 413 cross Rams and a 63 426. First car he shows me is 71 EB5 440 six barrel numbers matching with 2 fender tags of options and shaker 'Cuda. Being a Barracuda guy, he thought it best to show me that first. I am drooling!! Next car is a 61 more door Plymouth fury with more polished stainless trim than any kitchen in Vegas! Damn, What a styling masterpiece! Third a gorgeous 68 GTX in QQ1. 4th an 85 Shelby Charger. 5th the 63 426 Maxie, we fired that up and enjoyed. 6 more plymouth's in various stages of work but all complete. Now we leave the basement and go to the garage. Two 62 Savoy's 413 Max's and both are over the top. One an original 1 of 8 with long rams the other a high trimmed clone. All told he has about 28 cars all Mopar and NOS parts everywhere you look! Moral of the story is when these folks come by and tell you they got some Mopars you might want to pay them a visit, some of these Guy's are for real!

You never know what you missed out on until you finally see that stuff for the first time. Had a similar experience with a guy in SC a couple of years ago who had two of the most immaculate 69 Road Runners in his garage I had ever seen. His willingness to share these cars with total strangers was unbelievable.

Thats just it! He new I was a diehard mopar guy, thus the invitation. Guess after he raved about our little Barracuda I should have gone right over!

We often hear the "I had a 440 hemi 6 pack back in the 70's...

Like you said, sometimes they are for real!!!

Heard a couple new ones this weekend. "Is that a real 383 Hemi", and is That a 383 stroker cause I think my C10 has one.

Does this guy also have a 69 1/2 6 pack black super bee?

LMAO!!

Sometimes it better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, than open it and remove all doubt!!

Out of respect to the owner we agreed to keep his identity and location a secret. He did agree to a motor pic of the 63 426! When you get to view a guy's personnel collection that he cherishes and only shares to selected few you have to just agree and enjoy!

That's great! And it is also great that you had respect for his property and privacy! Thanks for the pic

Is that the dude that wanted to sell you the hemi Motor?

Reminds me of the time
My
Buddy took me to his buddy's secret shop in Pittsburgh where they had several cool mopars a Jensen interceptor and a never streeted drag only 67 hemi GTX that was ordered special Through the corporate program.
Car had a few thousand drag strip
Only Miles on it and a custom red white and blue paint scheme.
Also had a few hemis in cosmolene and wrapped in plastic.
I had to Swear I would never divulge The Location or
It would be denied and Hillary
Clinton's hit squad would make me disappear.
