I have a line on a 360 that has been internally balanced. .030 over, around 10:1 compression, with new W2 heads and roller rockers.

I'm looking at putting this in my 70 duster 4 speed, which will be mostly a cruiser. Can I run a dual plane intake (Performer RPM) on this or will I be killing the potential of the heads by not running a single plane?

You can use the mopar M1 dual plane, that is made to fit the W2 intake bolt pattern. Be carefull on the exhaust as well, I dont think all W2s have twin bolt patterns.

A Performer RPM won't fit. Ports are different as well as in inside bolt holes. That intake would be a restriction anyway for the head's potential
There are dual plane W-2 heads out there, which may be cast iron. They pop up from time-to-time and were designed for circle track rules. Otherwise you'll be limited to a single plane, unless you do a lot of custom welding and cutting to get a conventional aluminum intake to fit, like they did when W-2's first came out.

Learned something today! Haven't kept up with W-2 stuff since switching combos in 1999.

Mopar aluminum dual plane is P5249572. But shop around for the best price. I've seen at least a $50.00 difference so far.

But pics show rectangular ports, so I'm confused.

Thanks for the information guys! Not sure what I am gonna do yet. I have a short box truck frame with 6" lift and Dana 60's with 4.10's in them that he wants to swap.

I have to look at what he has but I know everything is new and just need to be put together. I have a 340 I was going to rebuild for my duster, but this might be a good swap for me.............I will have my motor and I will gain lots of room in the garage!

Pauly. The W2 is best suited for single plane useage. In stock form, they flow similar to a Edelbrock head. In a fully ported form, the head will flow over 300 CFM but at higher lifts normally seen on street engines.

The dual plane intake MoPar offers is a strangler but will do for street use.
A much better head would be a stock head followed by a Edelbrock.
