No you can't swap the gears , the only other choice for an A833 would be to buy the Passon gear set , about 2k

really? so thats really the only way? mine aswell buy a 5 speed for that much...kinda surpising that quite a few guys who run the 4 speed OD are really willing to sacrifice the performance aspect for that OD gear....the OD is tempting but that damn loss of performance sure aint:dontknow:

Who is complaining about the performance loss ?? Build a motor with a TON of low end torque and you will not notice the gear spread as much , but then you will shorten the life of the stock OD trans .

The advantage of the Passon OD , which has gear spreads closer to that of a 727 , is you don't have to cut the car up to install it. Plus it's cheaper , price out the FULL 5 speed conversion and get back to me .

dont think i mentioned anyone complaining about it, i said they are willing to make the sacrifice over performance i guess thats all. Also, i know the 5 speed transmission swap costs much more than 2k, i meant the actual transmission may only cost that much (depending if its used and stuff and which you choose) thats all. I guess its all a matter of whats important more to each individual and what suits their needs more thats
