Man, I can't believe this but as I was taking another look at my linkage situation, I saw the missing rod laying in a tangle down in the shifter linkage behind the transmission. It was wedged in there hidden from view...lol I bought the car last spring and haven't done much to it until recently and knew I had a shifting problem...lol
