I'm looking for NOS tires Good Year 700 x 13 Power Cushion blackwall BSW for a 1965 Dodge Dart. They must be in mint NOS condition. Anyone who might have a sparetire in this condition? Looking for all five of them.

If your car came with a 273 the 7.00x13 are correct size.

If the car came with a slant 6, then it probably came with 6.50x13.

another option is 6.95x14's, on a V8 car.
These are being reproduced.

Forgive me for raining on your parade, but there is no way on earth I would run FORTY year old tires on my ride, even if it was just to drive it on and off a trailer. Then again, I wouldn't run 13" tires.

I'm doing a OEM resto on a 1965 DartCharger so the judge wont let me have other rims then 13 x 6. I have the stoch S/S wheels but I'm looking for the caps and tires

Stock rims were 13 x 4.5
you need some extra plain 13x 4.5 rims, LOL.

Stop over to my house with a Pepsi, and you can have 2.

I don't care what any car show "Judge" says,
I use the tires I know are safe to drive on, and can safely go 70+ mph.

I upgraded to 14x5.5 rims, and 205/70/R14 tires,
the 14x4.5 rims were an option, in 1965.

Just because Your car has 13's on it now,
does not mean that the local dealer would not have sold you the 14's. ;)

It became an option before the 1965 model year was over.

The Darts and Barracudas with the 4bbl 273 mid 1965, and later,
often came with 6.95 14's;
the Valiants less likely to have the 14's unless the dealer installed them.

The "Dog dish" hubcaps will fit on the 13's, and the 14's and 15's stock Mopar rims. Not sure if they would work on aftermarket rims......

The 14 inch rims were mounted on cars from 1966. The 1965s all had 13x6 rims.

I have never seen 13x6 factory rims.
A Photo of the stamping code would be kool.

{Far Out, a New [old] Factory steel wheel}

I bought my first Abody Valiant in 1975.

My Dad bought his first abody Valiant new, a 1965 Model,
from Armory Garage, in Albany, NY USA, when I was a little bit shorter,
than I am now, LOL.

I worked for a few years at various Service Stations, starting full time in 1976, and also at Sears Auto Center, changing tires.

I Have seen aftermarket mags that were 5.5 or 6 inch wide.

I am going to take a photo to show you what I mean,
by the stamping code. :)

I will get you a picture of my wheels this weekend. The DartChargers all had the special 13x6 Cragar S/S wheels with DartCharger centercaps. Mine are gone because the orginal owner trashed them due to bad chrome and installed a new set of S/S caps instead!

These wheels were all standard on the DartChargers. There were no other option for wheels for this model.

They all had BSW Good year power cushion 700x13.

I'll get a picture of the wheels asap

ok, quicky photos, {i forgot the 13's I have, still have tires on them.}

DartCharger....... OK,
you said in the first post Dodge Dart.

Sorry for the confusion,
the Dart Charger, I only recall seeing 2 of these cars,
one in Midland, TX, in early 1977,
the other at the Albany, NY Sears Auto center in the early 1980's when I
was working there, it had the "Mag" wheels.

The 7.00x13 are not being reproduced, by anyone I know of..........
ask your "Judge" if you can use another tire.

I have already been in contact with the head judge and according to him an OEM restoration is the way the car looked when they drove it out from the fcatory back in '65. So therefor it need to have the 13s.

Do you know of any DartCharger centercaps?

The tire too needs to be OEM tires. And to my knowledge the only way to get those tires is to find sparetires from the 60ies. I have check but not found any supplier of those tires.

The small rubber studs on the tire needs to be there as well. Run across any tires lately......?

LOL' Thats how we used to break the bead loose on the tires,
when changing to the Studded snows 35-45 years ago.

Drive the car over a tire, with the valve core out,
till the bead breaks loose, then use two big screwdrivers, and one old tire
"Spoon" to get the tire off the rim.

It is a lot easier, but more money,
to take the car to the local Service station/tire store.

I will suggest you try Wildcat Wrecking, etc....

I'm not gonna making it back to my home until Saturday. Then I'll post the pictures of the wheels!

I will check with Wildcat.

I've seen a discussion with photos about these 13" cragars somewhere else, very cool.

Here is a picture of the wheels. What I have found out from other DartCharger owners is that the chrome on these wheel were real bad. You'll see it no the picture too. That's why the also changed centercaps om my set of wheels back in the early 70ies.

Nice to see someone who likes to help a fellow mopar guy out if I have it you are welcome to it.

The 13" Cragars that came on my '65 Dart from the dealer had chrome rims but the aluminum centers were polished, not chrome. They had the S/S caps, but my car didn't have the Charger Dart emblems. The 13" Cragars were part of the Charger Dart package but were also a "factory" option.

Yes, the Dart Chargers had the wheels as the only option. But there was also a package for 1965 Dart called the Go-Go package.

All cars were light yellow, with racing stripe and black vinyl roof. They had the Cragar wheels as an option. Those wheels had the S/S center caps.
