Water Pump Leak

Aloha,
We are in the process of freshing up a 360 for my son's Dart and ran into a weird problem - it appears that we have a small water leak from the passenger (side in the vicinity of the where the Alternator bolts in. It is not the bolts - tripled checked and used thread sealer on them. Is it possible the pump itself is cracked?

if the pump's cracked enough to be leaking water, I'd expect the crack to be clearly visible... did you rtv the gasket? one side? both sides? Your gasket may be screwey.

Also take a look at the timing cover and the gasket for the timing cover. It's pretty common for the aluminum to get eaten up over the years and it could be leaking passed the gasket into the bolt hole area.
