This is the water valve assembly that was mounted on the fender well in the engine compartment on my Dart. I believe the water valve itself that the heater hoses connect to is frozen so that it will not work. The vacuum valve portion of this assembly seems to work. I am wondering if anyone has this replacement assembly? Or is it possible to just replace the water valve portion of this assembly? I appears that the linkage that attaches to the vacuum valve could be taken apart, but it appears easier to just replace the entire assembly. Let me know if you have something. Thanks.

They are replaceable separately. There is a place on eBay that had a bunch of NOS valves without actuactors. I think I paid $50 or so for one. However the original one that I pulled off of my dart had a mud dobber nest in it. I cleaned it out and my old valve works great. PM me if your interested in my good used one.

They are made as a sealed unit, and can be replaced with a multitude of other valves from a lot of other cars since it's a vac operated type.

You might run across a working original if that's what you want also, but most of them leak coolant after all these years.
I would feel it was a half miracle if I found one that worked AND didn't leak.

Ha, a half a miracle just happened. :D

I considered just replacing the water valve with a simple valve, but if I eliminate the vacuum portion of this it will interfere with all of the other vacuum operated parts on the heater/AC box (although the AC has been permanently removed) under the dash. I haven't completely settled on this decision yet.
