Hi folks..I'm looking for a recommendation on a car cover . I'm moving and my unfinished car may have to brave the elements for 2 months while a garage is built...64 dart..thanks

How unfinished? If you aren't worried about paint you could use a waterproof tarp. I put a couple pool noodles over the roof, hood, and trunk then drape the tarp over the top so it leaves room for air to flow. I like these poly tarps that are waterproof and rip/tear proof.

The shiny silver ones from places like Covercraft are pretty rainproof. However, after the sun comes out it is a good idea to remove them for a day to make sure everything dries out. And in a humid climate, water will condense on the metal under the cover on a daily cycle. You have to actively manage it by taking the cover on and off.

I just bought one on eBay- my second time. 58 bucks for the 7 layer that's waterproof and breathable with a lifetime warranty. They work great

I bought a "motor trend" brand cover from walmart, at a discount price for the first one. So waterproof, water would pool on it. Very pleased for about $60 if I remember right. Easily tied on, won't blow off.
So pleased, I bought two more for my 55 chevies.
But yeah, best answer would be the plastic garage from Costco. I've got a couple of those too.

i just picked up a pro elite "extreme duty" from the vatozone. it says "virtually waterproof" and it's been on there thru a few rains to no ill effect as far as i can tell.

size 4 fits *tight* on a 69 fastback.

I agree with the temp garage but the car will be on a open car trailer for a bit before I can move it to the new property. So I need a over for now

My thoughts and experience, exactly. I had to put my car out for an entire winter (before it was finished) and the cover I had, which was mainly a dust cover and a blue tarp kept it dry. You can even strap it down under the car if it has grommets.
