I’ve in the 43 years of deer hunting have only shot at a deer twice, once in my life, muzzle loader miss fire. All other deer went no more than 200 yds. Most of them never knew it was coming, some “made me” but to late they were in the crosshairsBut when your second amendment was written it was ball and musket not high powered assault rifles. My point is that those types of guns aren't for hunting. Blasting a large round of projectiles at an animal isn't sportsmanship and where are those other bullets going at a high rate of velocity?
Like I said before, if you're that bad a shot buy the meat at the store.
I actually find the 55.6 round underpowered for hunting, I prefer the 7.62x39
Did you know most states have a minimum caliber requirements for hunting?
You want to kill and drop the animals
Not wound it and make it suffer
That’s why I use a 7 mm rem mag. Hornaday 175 gr interlock bullet loaded to 2900ft Long flat shooting with balls. Yup it works very well.
