It runs well for a car that was sitting for a few decades
Drives ok
Has a brand new NAPA battery
Very solid
Told my buddy this car is terrible but we won’t find a running driving car any cheaper
$700

"do you remember ANYONE showing off their…….." Rust!

I see an awesome gutted out drag car once it’s done with its life in Lemons… There’s a lot there that can probably be sold on the FMJ site. What power train do you have in that one?

I have a two door sitting on blocks, way up off the ground with a 6 point roll cage, orange.
Pulled the 318 and stripped it of everything , make a good 360 mag with a Ford rear end dirt racer, been proven these cars are fast on a dirt track, 2018 champion on two different tracks.
But we could always down size the cage and go do some 1/8 mile passes at 7 different drag stripes under 100 miles away, one is just 15 miles away. Great handling cars

I'd love a solid 2 door. Miss my Super Coupe.

I'd even be ok with the mor-door you picked up. Wouldn't be the same build as my Duster, but similar, and then drive snot out of it.

A solid 2 door would get a T56 and a 5.7 in a heartbeat. Make sure the AC still functioned, upgrade the brakes to 11.75" rotors, sling some 17x8 and modern tires on the thing and then drive it across America.

Mirror auto deleted itself….could t take the view anymore…

it’s a slant/auto. Haven’t checked if it was a 8.25.
Unloaded it close to 11pm and had to get up for work at 4:50. Added to the alarm a few. Oooooffff

F body cars are great drag cars.

Light, very generous rear wheel area, and you can run a 360 in stock class.

Bought my girlfriend, (now my wife), a '77 2 door Aspen for $300 in about '82. Nice 318, buckets, floor console auto, was the Special Edition with the 1/2 vinal top and both front fenders rotted out. I found a rear ended 4 door at the boneyard and bought both front fenders. She drove that for quite a few years like that. Dark green with 2 silver fenders! Even the pin stripe lined up, even though they were different colors. I did enjoy that car, when we finally got rid of it, mostly all rust.

Isn’t the car value to be under $500???:poke::poke:

When my brother and I did the first 10 lemons races in NorCal the car had to be under 500…

Rack and pinion steering and not bad power when ordered with a 5.0

that’s for the 24 hours of lemons races. We do the rally’s. No tech or roll cages. Just guys, beer, cigars, etc

1980 was my favorite year Aspen/Volare'. Had a Volare' wagon and loved it !
I have been searching for a clean 1980 Slant with air for awhile. I did buy a 1976 Aspen when they were new !

Got outta work early. Hosed off the farmer mud (we drove it around his fields). This thing is wayyy rust free

Trunk yielded a wix trans filter kit
Wix oil filter
New muffler
Full tune up kit

someone loved this thing at one point
