I should have a 2.055 head on the bench today with the 4.120 gasket chamber size and I’m betting I have flow numbers that are the same and a much smoother flowing head. Updates posted later.

I can appreciate the DOHC heads. With a Hemi shaped chamber you can fill it up with 4 small valves. Something you can't do with 2 big valves in a small chamber.

A 2.08 is the biggest single improvement you can do to the W2 and W5 heads.

If you use 5/16 stem valves and you keep the guides in good shape you can get a 2.100 valve in there, even with the 1.600 exhaust valve.

When I do my last set of W2’s I’m going to try and use a 1.500 exhaust so I can squeeze a 2.125 valve in there.

They fit and work great. My Bloomer heads came with 2.08 valves.
Most guys use 2.08 valves on W5 heads too

He had to get it bored to 4.060 so I’m not sure who’s recommending that gasket size (4.080) but it is what it is.

The car ran consistent 6.60’s last year with my son driving. Typical .650-.690 roller cam 408 with TrickFlow heads. They are hoping for some 6.30’s-6.40’s I’m guessing. Car is in the 3100 pound area.

Guys I didn’t forget about updating this post. My brother in law was supposed to get operated on Tuesday to repair a damaged heart valve but they found a huge clot in his heart so the operation is delayed till Tuesday. Trying to help my sister from afar. His heart is working at 2% and he’s been waiting 6-8 weeks for this operation.

A lot of things go into running that bigger valve. I gotta learn to ask more questions before I start a job. I about guarantee you this set of 2.055 valve heads will do better but even on these I’m limited to a 4.120 gasket size. So we shall see

Bigger not necessarily better.
