Well that escalated quickly.

I know what you guys are talking about when a simple upgrade to my car becomes a big project.
But it can be worse: I met this girl and said hello…

I bought my '66 and managed to drive it 10 miles home with a badly slipping clutch. Thinking I'll just replace the clutch and enjoy the Barracuda the way it is, I pulled the tranny, found the back freeze plugs leaking, and two two others on the side with crud seeping out. Long story short, became a three year mechanical restoration resulting in pulled and overhauled engine, new suspension from and rear, engine bay sanded and repainted, new interior .... you get the idea.

Progress! Had an Aurora design kit put in the stock radio. Repainted a spare radio bezel and installed 2x3 ways in the package tray and 2x5" in the original dash location using the original mounting hardware. Works and sounds great!

Finally got the dash and pad back from Just Dashes. And it only took 9+ months. :p

The results were worth it.

Have power now. Hopefully get to test drive this week and start putting everything back together.

Took over a year and most of the summer on my back but it paid off. Done and done.

Looks like brand new! Probably better with your attention to detail. Very nice.
