We've Lost Leanna Lynn Johnson (cudachick1968)

So sorry to hear this sad news. It is such a shock, and so young at that. I was just admiring some of her work a week or two ago and commented on how beautiful it was (on another site). I too never met "The Mistress of Metal" but she made you feel like an old friend. She has blessed many of us and is already missed. Praying for God's peace and help for her family in such a trying time. God rest her soul.
 
Me and the cudachick never really saw eye to eye. Maybe it's a girl thing.

But I sure wish she were still here to not see eye to eye with me some more.

I didn't know she was sick, so this hits me as a surprise and it's really sad.

I hope she is still turning wrenches in the big garage in the sky.

An old wise friend told me many years ago that two cute or good lookin women never really like each other. lol I think there's some truth to that.

That is how I felt when I first spoke with her or in a private conversation on the forum.
Our loss, but she is in the presence of God FOREVER!
May the Holy Spirit comfort her friends and family.
 
What a terrible loss for Our community, and to the World around Her, prayers to Her Family & Friends. It wasn't that long ago We exchanged PMs about an Olds intake I'm modifying, I was concerned that if epoxy became involved, outgassing would nix powdercoating it. She was well-versed & to the point, explained how it could be accomplished, & what I could/should do to make it easier on Her end. Her level of craftsmanship, commitment to excellence, & generosity will be almost impossible to replace. RIP.
 
A trivial point at this time, but I see Leanna has not yet passed to "Legendary" membership- is this because she was listed as a vendor? If so, I would think an exception should be made in this case... she was more to this community than just a vendor.
 
I'm just seeing this God bless..she did a set of valve covers for me years ago came out beautiful,again God bless her soul..
 
Quite a gal! From the early days of BOG then to other sites she never changed and I’m happy to have known her! Godspeed!!!

Some women don't like any other women....good looking or not. Jealousy abounds with some. Not saying Leanna was that way.....at least I didn't see her as being that way.
 
I can see Leanna up in heaven trying to figure out how to powdercoat the Pearly gates.

I've corresponded with him prior to donating and decided to trust...
I'm also told by the organizer that Billys' bank account is actually the one tied to the GoFundMe.

Further message from Michael Patterson:
He tells me the donations so far have been instrumental in paying for some of the cremation costs.
He also recommends that anyone with questions about the validity of the GoFundMe contact Billy directly via the business phone line: 731-613-9192.
Lastly, he also is telling me Billy is having an understandably tough time with all this, so if you need to call, please be gentle.

There are no memorial/funeral plans in concrete as of yet.
 
Well, I found myself in unknown territory today. Kitty and I went grocery shopping. As we were making our way through the produce section, Kitty was grabbing a bag of cranberries and a couple of oranges and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I had to make my way to the bathroom, because I was losing my composure. The last time Leanna and I spoke, we talked about all of the traditional things we both would eat around the holidays. I told her about Kitty's "cranberry concoction" she always makes at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Fresh cranberries, a couple of oranges all run through her little food processor. She even uses the orange peeling, too. Now you wouldn't think the orange peeling would be any good in it, but boys, I'm here to tell you, it's some GOOD stuff. She uses a couple of other things too, but it escapes me at the moment. That really piqued Leanna's interest and she wanted the recipe. She was gone before I was able to give it to her. It made me incredibly sad.

There will be a part of her that will be with you allways. I hope I get that ferling when I pop the hood of my 66 and se her valve covers.

You know, I have a set of valve covers she did. Very nice pieces I got from Tim, I’ve had them sitting on the sled as I’ve thought they were too nice to use, I think today is the day I finally go and put them on.
 
Same here, I went to Canon city, Co today and I really thought of Leanne because she mentioned to me one time that she had lived there before and she possibly still has relatives there ? I don't know but she certainly popped into my thoughts as I was on the highway headed out that way.

I looked it over too and decided to donate.....and there will be no memorial/funeral for me either. Just fry my butt and stick me in a drawer in the Houston National Cemetary....
