After `68 the last 8 digits of the VIN will appear on the pad after the numbers above. HTH.

B = Hammy production line
445300 is sequential VIN for the car it was installed

the 23 spline is your input shaft. The slip yoke on that trans should be a 29/30 spline

Looks like a 69 B body trans by the tail number ?

I'm pretty sure that year in a b body there was only one gear ratio available in the 23 spline , 2.66 first gear .

The 4 digit code corresponds to a 10,000 day calender that started sometime in 1961 , there has been an excel spreadsheet program being circulated that is set up so you just plug in the number and it tells you the day .
